AN ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE STYLE UTTERED IN THE MOVIE OF DISNEY MULAN LIVE ACTION

Language styles embodied characteristics that helped people communicate their intentions correctly. This was what showed how important it was to understand language style in creating the right atmosphere in situational communication. Therefore the aim of this research was to describe the language styles uttered in The Movie of Disney Mulan Live Action.
This research used a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis where data collection by using documentation technique. Data analysis was done by classifying, analyzing, discussing and concluding.
This research found 55 (100%) data about language style with 4 categories, namely the Frozen or Oratorical category at 7.3%, Formal or Deliberative at 29%, Consultative at 27.3%, and Casual at 36.4%. With the different language style categories used in this movie, it proved that the choice of language style in communication had to be appropriate to the particular situation that you wanted to express, if the application of language style was not appropriate it would result in fatal errors in communication. This was the importance of studying language style. Movies were a reflection of real life, so studying language styles through the utterances used in films could be a good means for learning.
